David got his start in the consumer electronics industry in the mid 90’s as a salesman in the Audio/Video department of a local Circuit City Store. He soon moved on to a smaller local A/V retailer that had more of a specialization in custom installation and automation. His technical knowledge, and overall interest in understanding how things work, led him away from sales and down the path of a “system programmer,” where he would program the advanced remotes of the of the time: Lexicon, Pronto, Xantech, Crestron, etc. His background in engineering and architecture helped him also fill the role of “system engineer,” where he would specify the parts and pieces needed to make a complex system function the way it was intended. Today, with his knowledge of computers and networking added into the mix, David is a well-rounded and capable engineer for today’s IP-centric systems and services. Outside of the office, David enjoys traveling, playing ice hockey, and following Formula 1 racing.
Josh was born in Silver Spring, MD in 1984. He grew up in Bowie until his parents decided to pack the family up and move to New Hampshire for his Dads job when he was 13. He spent his free time outside of school playing sports including Soccer, Basketball, and Baseball and was out fishing on the local lakes and ponds any chance he could get. He quickly found a passion for the outdoors in New England hiking the local mountains and spending weekends at the local lakes fishing with his Dad. His first job was working at Electrical Supply of Milford where he took care of the lighting showroom along with shipping and receiving tasks. He graduated from Milford High School in 2003 and decided to head back to Maryland to attend college. He studied construction management for two years at Anne Arundel Community College while also playing baseball. For a summer job he returned to New Hampshire and worked for One Source Security and Automation. This is where his journey as a low voltage technician started. After college he decided to plant his roots in Maryland permanently where he started working for a local A/V company in Baltimore. Started off as a helper and quickly moved his way up to being a technician and a short while later a lead tech. Six years later as an A/V Tech he found himself starting at EHE in the spring of 2013. He prides himself in being a hard worker and going above and beyond what is expected of him on the job.
Buddy has 19 years of experience in the technology industry. He started in 1995 installing and programming digital phone systems for Executone Information Systems. After a few years in the Washington and Philadelphia areas, he moved to Los Angeles. There he gained commercial A/V skills building editing bays and equipment racks for the film industry’s postproduction facilities. After a short stint installing HD satellite dishes he segued into home AV, automation and security with MaxSecurity Inc. This small company allowed him to further expand his skill set with work on alarm systems, Panasonic phone systems, whole house audio/video and universal remote programming. Moving back to DC in 2003 he spent seven years with MyerEmco as a lead technician and programmer. Buddy’s high level of customer service, expertise, and attention to detail was rewarded with the MyerEmco President’s Circle of Technical Excellence award five years in a row. Before joining EHE he also worked for three years with another local custom installation company as a project manager. Although Buddy has seen a lot of amazing things in the past two decades, he still gets thrilled over working with the latest gadgets or seeing a customer’s face light up when enjoying their newly installed home theater.
"We were very pleased with the attention to detail and outstanding service by Walter and Doug. They listened to our requirements, and asked lots of questions that I hadn’t considered when designing the Audio Visual and low voltage for our extensive remodel. Their recommendation of hidden, behind the wall, speakers was great and the sound is incredible. They knew how to design the sound to our very unique living space. They also rose to a very difficult design challenge of suspending a television on a very rough fireplace. The effect is very dramatic and ties perfectly to our design aesthetic. Very happy!"
"EHE's team of professionals handled all of my audiovisual needs (complete home theater, security system, full house audio system and complicated flat screen installations with wireless communications). EHE offers the technical capability and product offerings of a larger outfit but with a higher and much more personal level of customer service. My family has become friends with the EHE folks. If I send a text to the company with a question, I get a call back within minutes (even on weekends) to try to resolve any issues immediately over the phone. If that doesn't do it, they are out right away. EHE prices are very reasonable and they don't try to upsell us on installs and gear we don't need. We have exactly what we want and we use it all the time. Everything works seamlessly. We will be adding more AV capability over time, and we will be using EHE."
